Happy Tuesday Ladies! Today I want to share with you, a trick I use to create the illusion of a Full Bun Hairstyle on my Natural Hair. My hair is currently not very thick and has always been on the fine side. I do this tweak whenever I wear a Bun and it works brilliantly for me.
Hi Lovelies! Doing a Hot Oil Treatment before a full wash, greatly helps your hair in terms of reducing tangles by oiling the hair strands and enabling them to glide past each other rather than tangle up during your Wash Day Process. I normally do my own home produced hair treatment but this time around I bought one of these hand made all natural hair treatment online from the company Lush.
These come in a range of natural hand made products. The one I chose was the 'Hair Doctor. 'The ingredients include Coconut Oil,Jojoba Oil, Rosemary and Red Henna. All these infused together work to leave the hair feeling stronger and nourished and ready for the somewhat wear and tear process our hair actually goes through on every Wash Day. The Treatment comes attached to a wooden stick on which directions for use are clearly highlighted.
My hair was left looking and feeling amazing! Any Hot Oil Treatment will work a treat on your Natural Hair prior to washing. Give it a try if not already doing so!

Happy Tuesday Ladies! This is a hair update on how my hair is coming along in my new Healthy Hair Journey. I had mentioned in a previous video how I intend to nurse my hair back to fullness after it had gone through a period of thinning and breakage due to heavy Stress. At the time my hair looked like this:
This was a few months back and presently my hair looks slightly better:
I aim to add to the volume of my strands and have my hair looking closer to how it looked a year ago, a nice fuller Afro:

A very Happy Tuesday to you Ladies! In this video, I share with you my current detangling routine that I use to avoid excessive knotting in my hair. Your Natural Hair Journey, is made that much easier if you adapt an effective detangling routine.
I find that performing my Wash Routine on sectioned hair is really working a treat for me.
Enjoy the video Ladies and hopefully it helps someone with tackling the issue of knots and tangles while washing your hair.
Happy Tuesday Ladies! I have decided to ditch Curl enhancers on my hair for a little bit. I just want to be free from the pursuit of the 'Perfect Curl'-whatever that might be. I will let my hair just do what it does this Summer:
So far, am loving the path am currently taking with my Natural Hair Journey! Enjoy the video Ladies, and I hope it serves to inspire someone along the way!
Happy Tuesday Ladies! After hearing so much about the new Eco Black Castor and Flaxseed Oil Gel, I finally decided to give it a go!
The Gel comes in a new flip top tub, feels really smooth to the touch, not sticky and heavy like some traditional Gels. It has a rather pleasant and sweet smell and applies easily onto damp hair that has a Leave In Conditioner on it. I applied the Gel over my Cantu Curl Activator and let the hair air dry undisturbed for three hours.
A very Happy Tuesday to you Ladies! So recently, I tried out Hair Mousse as opposed to Gel for my customary Wash and Go, which I tend to wear as soon as the weather gets warmer on this end of the globe.
For this, I looked to Cantu hair products, to be precise as the Curl Activator Cream and the Wave Whip Curling Mousse:
Enjoy the brief video explaining why this is now my Styling Home for the Summer! Have a Grand Tuesday Beautiful Ones!
Hi Ladies! I decided to try out a Wash and Go on my hair using a curling Mousse instead of my usual Eco Gel. I went with the Cantu Curl Activator Cream as my Leave in Conditioner topped with the Cantu Wave Whip Curling Mousse.
These two together did not disappoint. My hair was defined, air dried in under two hours (With Gel my Wash and Go usually takes up most of the day to dry!) And my curls stayed put up until my next wash day in five days.
Happy Tuesday Ladies! I finally decided t make some FlaxSeed Gel. This has been a trend for the longest time in the Natural Hair Community.
Flaxseeds are packed with goodness for your hair in the form of nutrients like Protein, Calcium, Zinc, Magnesium, Iron and Omega 3 Fatty Acids which are beneficial to the growth of strong and healthy hair. Consuming these seeds is highly beneficial for your skin and hair, however using it topically in the form of a Natural hair Gel is just as good.
The Omega 3 fatty acids in Flaxseeds are extremely nurturing for our hair follicles and increasing the elasticity of hair fibres. This causes hair to be stronger and less vulnerable to breakage.
Omega 3 fatty acids are also known to have great anti-inflammatory properties, which make these seeds highly beneficial in reducing inflammation caused in various scalp conditions like dandruff and itchy scalp.
My first time experience making and using Flaxseed Gel was surprising in a really good way!I did not actually expect to have such amazing results! The Gel left my hair feeling soft, while providing excellent hold and my hair literally gleamed! This rivals any commercial gel if you ask me!Also a little goes a long way so only a small amount is enough.
Happy Tuesday Ladies! As naturals, we often find that our hair is prone to product build up. Once in a while, its a good idea to give your hair a little bit of a Detox.
Of late, Activated Charcoal has been all the rage in Skin and Hair Care. Activated Charcoal has the ability to draw out impurities from the skin as well as absorb oils. This makes it an ideal cleansing agent to leave your scalp clean and free from anything that could cause your pores not to freely grow out healthy hair.
I used Charcoal and Citrus Oil Detoxifying Shampoo by Hair Chemist Limited. This shampoo fights clogged pores by absorbing excess oils, dirt and grime that cause build up. I followed my shampoo with Bamboo Charcoal Detoxifying Conditioner. It contains Ginkgo Biloba and Green Tea. In addition to further removing Dirt and impurities, this Conditioner also helps to detangle hair while gently moisturizing the hair and adding body to it.
Just remember when doing a Natural Hair Detox, please do not over do it. This is a thorough cleansing and stripping of the scalp so hair can become dry if this is repeated often. When you feel that your hair has been subjected to build up,this treatment will definitely come in handy.
Happy Tuesday Ladies!Today ,I would like to briefly share with you how I use Coconut Oil in the removal of Two Strand Twists I have been wearing for a week.
The only tools I used were my fingers and this worked nicely to leave my hair ready for my wash routine.I have found that this method works to help me prevent breakage while I remove my Twists, the Coconut Oil helps in making the hair pliable and this makes ease for faster removal.
I think we can all safely agree that when it comes to Natural hair, a good Pre Poo routine is required to enable our hair to go through the Wash day process, tangle free and therefore free from the threat of breakage and damage.
For my Pre Poo, I use Extra Virgin Coconut Oil which aides in protecting the hair strands against Hygral Fatigue 9the result of contant, excessive swelling of the hair cuticle as water is absorbed and the contracting of the hair cuticle as it dries.)With every Wash ,your hair is susceptible to Hygral Fatigue and thus, Potential damage. Coconut Oil prevents this from happening and thus protects your hair.
I couple my Coconut Oil with a Conditioner with extra slip to help with the detangling process. My Conditioner of Choice is the Biotin and Collagen Conditioner by Organix. This Conditioner provides amazing Slip!
Happy Tuesday Ladies! I tried out Ghassoul Clay Wash on my last Wash Day. I have been on a quest to try and get my hair healthy and an alternative to commercial shampoo has always sounded good. Enter Ghassoul Clay!
Ghassoul Clay is a superfine Clay Powder which is nutrient dense and rich in minerals such as Silica, Magnesium and Calcium. It is highly esteemed around the world in exclusive professional spas for its cleansing, nourishing, exfoliating and rejuvenating properties.
This clay when mixed with warm water and applied to your scalp and the length of your hair will leave your hair thoroughly cleansed, conditioned and moisturised.
