African Naturalistas at Beauty West Africa

Hello beautiful people. How are we all doing? Last week, African Naturalistas was at Beauty West Africa, which took place at Landmark Events Centre from 20-22 November 2019. It was a beautiful experience exhibiting alongside many foreign and domestic brands.

I, Atilola was a panelist at one of the sessions, and African Naturalistas won the SME exhibition award.

I had the opportunity of exhibiting and speaking at one of the panel sessions. My own session was on "Developing Global Positioning for African/Ethnic Brands –How Do We Build Strategic Partnerships to fast track our Beauty Business?"

Introducing African Naturalistas on Day 1

One of the major highlights for me was winning the SME Exhibitors award, organized by Lanre Olusola and Compass Global Consulting. I had been very exhausted the first night of the event, and wrote my pitch with sleepy eyes just as I was about to go to bed. I then took about twenty minutes the next morning to practice it before starting another vigorous day of exhibition, selling and speaking on my panel. I basically didn’t have time to prepare they way the typical me would prepare for any competition. That’s why I was very glad I won.

All in all Beauty West Africa was a good event for me, and my eyes opened to so many things. I'm glad I was part of it.

African Naturalistas at Salon Day Out 2017

Hello ladies!!!  How are we all doing? I'm so happy to announce to you all that the 2017 edition of Naijahaircangrow's Salon Day Out is just few days away from now. Yay!!!

I'm excited because this is the most event-packed and exciting hair meet up I know of in Nigeria. You will do a disservice to yourself by missing it.

African Naturalistas Team Meeting

I don't know if you've checked out the African Naturalistas Team page lately, but chances are that you haven't noticed one or two changes. If you take a quick look, you'll see short notes and photos of the African Naturalistas founder and the weekly contributors (minus 2 Team members, whose names are missing from the list).

Our aim here on AN is to bring you our lovely readers, posts every single day (sometimes twice a day) on all things related to natural hair care. Last weekend, we had a meeting with the local (Nigerian-based) contributors. Can you believe it was the first time we've ever had a meeting?!?!?!? Anyways, it was lovely to sit with everyone and talk about ways we can make African Naturalistas BLOG better for YOU! If you remember, we won the BEST BEAUTY/HAIR BLOG in the Nigerian Blog Awards earlier this year. We want to keep giving you great content everyday, so please definitely make your suggestions in the comments below. What would you like to see more of? What would you like us to talk more about? I personally want to see more posts of African Naturalistas Brides!!!! Hopefully, I will have a post or 2 in the coming weeks (simply email berrydakara@gmail.com to be featured).

This is Ade, who runs Locitude and is responsible for bringing Locs Appreciation Day to Nigeria.

She showed us how to do 3 different hairstyles without tools (medium to long hair required). I got photos of only 2 styles though - my camera died :(
