Hello everyone!
Nothing gives me joy than celebrities embracing their natural hair especially Nigerian celebrities. It sends the right kind of vibe and inspiration.
During the course of the week, Nollywood actress, Beverly Naya showed off her lusciously stretched 'fro. Now, this is not something we see everyday. Most times, many of them just like some of us hide under bales of weaves, wigs and extensions. Now, I'm not saying it's wrong or anything a mean they're great protective styles. My point is, if they can wear their natural hair out more and not hide it, maybe just maybe it would give some folks the confidence boost they need.
To be honest, a lot of people are celebrity wannabes and are heavily influenced by their actions or as the case may be, inactions. So, if these people can lay that sort of example, I think it would go a long way and issue of embracing natural hair generally would be half-solved.
Although, I don't see that happening anytime soon, we can only hope.
For 13 months, this is a decent growth even though some people might not agree. But don't forget that everyone has individual growth paces and comparisons are just pointless, to be honest. Then again, it looks stretched or even blown out but decent overall. It's good to see someone like her show off her hair.
So, here's to a longer and better natural hair journey.
What do you guys think?
Are you aware of any other Nigerian female celebrity that embraces and proudly rocks her natural hair?
Love, coils and curls

ReplyDeleteLooks like a wig.
And for 13 months of growth I feel that is not decent growth but real growth. Not a lot of people achieve that.
Hmm. Maybe.
