Happy Tuesday Ladies! Today I just wanted to share with you why I made the decision to never go to a Hair Salon again. Over the years, I decided to take the time out to learn and study my hair so that I would not have to rely on anyone else to help me take care of it. This video will help you understand why it was not a difficult decision to make.....

Hope your dental visit went well. Wow, where did that lady come from? I hope her attitude has changed, now that natural hair is gaining more traction.
ReplyDeleteSome people sha.natural hair is here to stay tho.
ReplyDeletewow. i wud have been so upset if i experienced that. i will be sure to ASK if the stylists can work with natural hair before trying any new salons!
ReplyDeletewww.folasoasis.com
this is true, but if you need your hair done quick what do u do
DeleteNawa oh
ReplyDeleteomg I had the same experience over the summer, I went in to do my nails and some lady came I with her daughter and said that all natural people are confused, me I was like Ehen wat did you say, the lady doing my nails said I should just calm down that there is no point replying. since she was older than me I kept quiet the lady when on and on about natural haired people, me I was numb, then another lady in the salon said but your child’s hair is natural (see the smile on my face like oya talk something again), sha she gave a lame excuse that her child hair was soft and she was too young for a relaxer. I was finished my nails and was doing my eyebrows she was still talking, she then turned to look at me and said did who did your makeup the lady that did my nails said she is natural and doesn’t use make up she just came to shape her brows (in my mind I was like yasssssssss).
ReplyDeletei left the salon that day in a state
anyway some days later i went back for goddess braids
When the ladies in the salon found out who I was and my profession later on they were like why I didn’t respond, all I said was respect your elders looking at the nail tech. I'm sure they were looking at me like i was a small girl.
Eiii im already worked up just reading your story!
DeleteLol imagine how I felt
DeleteThe last time I visited a hair stylist, she used a rattail comb on my hair.Never again!,I am now my own stylist.
ReplyDeleteOmg this has happened to me, I let the girl know that she couldnt use that thing to comb or smoothen the hair and she still went on tambout 'no this is the comb I'm used to'. Let's just say things went to shit from there and the owner of the shop had to apologise profusely on behalf of the silly girl and had another reasonable stylist continue with my hair.
DeleteAll that can be done is to guide the stylist through tho id think they wouldn't appreciate that. Its a tough one but i do know that all is takes is one botched up salon visit to damage an entire head of hair.
