Curling custard is a mixture of natural butter, oils and gel which is mostly used by naturalistas for styling.
What does curling custard do?
- it gives moisture
- defines curls
- holds the hair (doesn't make it look so bulky)
INGREDIENTS
- 6 tbs shea butter
- honey
- leave in conditioner
- 4 tbs styling gel
- coconut oil
TOOLS NEEDED
- bowl
- spoon
- pot
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1
scoop your shea butter into a bowl and place in a boiling water.
STEP 2
let it heat up (not melt) for about 15 seconds, this is just to make it soft so you can stir
STEP 3
with a spoon, stir till you get rid of all lumps.
STEP 4
add your gel and stir till its evenly blended with the shea butter
STEP 5
add your oils and stir
STEP 6
add your leave in conditioner, stir until it blends in.
STEP 7
add your honey and stir also till all your ingredients are well blended
HOW TO USE
Apply to damp hair, style and leave to dry.
This is about the easiest diy ever, so you do not have an excuse, plus you get to save some money. Plus add whatever works for your hair! Its a win-win situation, who is getting excited?

If you're adding gel, does it still make it a custard?

Instead of using eco styler, you could easily use aloe vera gel.
Are you going to leave in honey on your hair, and not wash off?
ReplyDeleteYes, I only added a small quantity. Honey can be a leave in, just make sure you use a little but whatever works for your hair..
