Why You Need Omega Fatty Acids in Your Diet Yesterday!

Hello ladies!

Confession time....I'm a bit of a supplements addict. I like taking any vitamin or mineral I know will benefit my health. I'm currently on  the flaxseed oil supplements pictured above and decided to research on why the omega fatty acids are so good for my body and my hair.

Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids are excellent for skin and hair. Did you know that:

Omega 3 essential fatty acids are not produced by the body so you must obtain them from your diet? They
add luster, sheen, elasticity, prevent and reverse hair loss because it nourishes your hair follicles causing the hair grow in thicker, stronger and faster!
You get them from dark green leafy vegetables, cabbage, flax seed (linseed), hempseed, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, avocados and cold water fish like mackerel, tuna, cod, salmon, sardines, anchovies and herring.

That Omega 6 essential fatty acids also need to be obtained through your diet? They control water loss making your hair more moisturised and soft, stimulate growth, controls eczema and scalp conditions too.
You can obtain them from avocados, grapeseed oil, pumpkin seeds, pine nuts, flaxseeds, olive oil, raw sunflower seeds and deep sea fish.

Omega 9 fatty acids are non- essential so the body manufactures them. But who doesn't want extra when it controls water loss in your hair making it softer and more manageable?
Also,  your dose is available from the nearest from avocados, almonds, pecans, cashews and flaxseeds, fish oil and deep sea fish near you!

Their water loss controlling abilities make these nutrients so essential during harmattan and any climate where the season is bound to dry your hair out.

For those of you who like to take the supplements route, fish oil supplements, flaxseed supplements and multivitamin supplements are excellent sources too!
