I love the look of my girls' hair after it has been done. It looks neat and frizz-free. However, a few days later, the frizz monster creeps in and before I know it, the hair is a frizzy mess.  So, what do I do when I don't have time to redo the hair? Read on and you will see.

Tie It Down
You really can't stop a kid from rubbing their head on the furniture, or any surface where they can roll around in. However, one thing you can do is before they leave the house, you can help tame the frizz by doing the following steps:
  • Moisturize the hair with any of these techniques. Click Here
  • Tie down the hair with a scarf for at least 10 mins or until you have to leave the house.
Here is a video showing the method. Watch below or click here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rbc0GaQapsE)

Use Products to Tame The Frizz
I'm not big of using gel when braiding the hair, however, using a mixture of shea butter and aloe vera gel is a great way of creating a little hold and some shine. Here is a great recipe on how to make your SheaAloe Butter at home.

Close the Hair Cuticle
Why do you want to close the hair cuticle? Well, when you wash your child's hair with lukewarm water, the hair cuticle opens up to help remove any buildup that exists within it. After this has been removed, you need to close the cuticle by doing a final rinse with cold water or a mixture of cold aloe vera juice and water. By closing the cuticle, you help lay it down, thereby not making the hair frizzy. Aloe Vera Juice also helps restore the hair's pH level and promote shine.
