  1. I have never done any oil rinse before. But I imagine it would require alot of oil.
This makes me wonder if its any different from hot oil treatment.
I intended to try it on my hair during my next wash day.

    1. Yes it's different from hot oil treatment.

This is done during wash day.

Yeah sure you can plus I don't think it requires so much oil. Just use enough to cover your hair so that it doesn't end up all greasy.

  3. I've not done oil rinse before, I'm actually just hearing it for the first time. I like to keep my regimen simple so I don't think I will be trying it out soon.

  4. So there's no rinsing between the shampoo and the oil? Also, wondering if it's better to use hot, warm or cold water.

    1. Nope. Except you want to and then use the apply conditioner and rinse out too.

I think it's better to use warm/cold water. Hot water

  6. I love this so much that I've taken to putting oil and conditioner together in a bottle for handy use. I use olive oil with my regular conditioner. It tends to separate out but a quick shake of the bottle and I'm ready to go. Very very yummy.

  9. I do an oil rinse on my hair once a month and my hair loves it! I am a 4c natural with I guess medium length hair (not short but not exactly long either). I use 2oz of oil and I use 8 different oils that I combined that my hair loves. After I do an apple cider vinegar rinse and condition my hair I apply the whole 2oz bottle of oil and immediately apply my deep conditioner. I place a plastic cap over my head, then a heating cap, and then a satin bonnet and let my own natural body heat do its works for 30 mins. Then I rinse it out and voila! My hair comes out shiny, soft, moisturized, and my curls be popping! And I don't really have to add any more oil or moisturizer for a good 4-5 days after (and I have 4c hair, which is prone to dryness) I only do this once a month because it is a lot of oil, but my 4c hair loves it.

    1. Do you put all 8 oils in your hair at the same time?

    2. Yes I do. I've changed up my regimen a bit but I still use all 8 oils at the same time. If you're wondering what are the oils i use they are: coconut oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil, avacado oil, castor oil, argan oil, vitamin e oil, and this oil i use call african best hair oil. But like I said I changed it up a bit. I no longer do an apple cider vinergar rinse before hand. I now do a rice water rinse (I know crazy, but my hair actually likes it and it's growing) followed by my conditioner and the only 1 oz of the oil instead of 2oz. I let it sit for now 5 mins then wash it out. And I now do this routine once a week instead of once a month.
