My natural hair journey to bra length

I know we have all heard lots of hair resolutions for the new year, some of us even have a few of our own. Well, for me, my major and only hair resolution is to take care of my hair so much, I would be bra length by the end of the year.

I can barely pack a bun at the moment but I trust God, I know there is nothing impossible for my God. I am not planning to sit down and just wait for some magic, I have an outlined plan I'm going to be working with during the cause of the year to achieve my hair resolution for the year and I thought to share my plan with you guys, so I know what you all think and am also hoping you would share yours, so we could steal one or a few ideas from one another.
             Outlined Plan
DAILY
I am going to moisturise daily, apply castor oil to my edges and sides and make sure not to go to bed without my satin cap.
WEEKLY
I would co wash, deep condition, massage and finger detangle weekly.
MONTHLY
Mud wash, clarify, protective style and hot oil treatment.
8 WEEKS
          Protein treatment and steam
6 MONTHS
Get rid of split ends by trimming
OCCASIONALLY
             Flat iron and blow dry.

I hope it's an ok plan? I would love to know what you all think and how you plan to achieve your hair goals.

  3. It seems ok and doable. For me I want to go on a Wig regimen to help achieve my hair goals.

  4. Hate to burst your bubble but unless you have a growth rate of 1 inch per month with no breakage whatsoever, bra length isn't achievable by the end of the year, especially considering that the hair seems to still be in its TWA stage. I suggest you just take good care of the hair, length will come as long as the hair is healthy.

  5. Mine is just to take better care of my hair. Be more consistent with henna, say every 9 weeks.

  7. Be careful what you wish for...
Taking care of 9 inch hair and above no joke...
I've been giving my scissors the eye and silently praying that I don't actually grab it... And snip goes rafrozel's hair.

  8. All the best dear. I'm also aimng at bra length. I av always been doing the length check with only my front hair. Would be using my back hair this tym. I'd be on protective style 90percent of the time this year. With loosen my PS, deep condition, do a mud wash and after a week, wud be back on a PS. Hopefully we all reach our hair goals in 2016 by god's grace

  10. Sounds like a good plan....but there are a couple of things you could also incorporate such as daily scalp massages for about 5 minutes, eating healthier by incorporating more proteins into your diet, taking superfoods like spiraling which contains practically all the vitamins and minerals thathumansneed for good health. You could also try bee pollen or Brewers yeast which are high in biotin. You could also decide to just take a multi vitamin. Above all, protective styling is very important in retaining your growth and focus on the ends of your hair which tend to be the weakest parts of our hair......I too I'm aiming for MBL by the end of the year. Wish me luck!
