Can you tell us who you are and what you do

My name is Mezie Ogbonnie Chukwu. I am a graduate of Marketing and a Fashion designer in the making.

 

What are your thoughts about natural hair?   

Natural hair is unique, cool and lovely. 

When/why did you decide to go natural?        

I decided in March 2016 and it was after a damaged hair from a protective style. 

Did you do a BC or you transitioned?

I had a BC and I felt great. 

What was the experience like?  

I loved every bit of it because I was happy and fulfilled.

What was/is your biggest fear about going Natural?  

My biggest fear is a stunted growth.

Do you have a regimen you stick to?

I don't have any regimen.

What emotional struggles, if any, have you faced since going natural?

Old friends telling me I’m ugly.

Do you think you are in it for the long haul or is it just a phase?

I think I’m in it for a long haul

There are people that definitely have negative comments about your hair, how do you deal with that?  Don’t have negative comment yet

So far none, because the growth is encouraging.

What's your must have product and accessory?

My must have is coconut oil and hair rufffle.

What is your go to hairstyle?
My go-to-style is finger coil.

What advice do you have for anyone just going natural?

They should be patient and avoid negativity.
