Hi Naturalistas,
How are you all doing? I know there are some Naturalistas here that would love to be featured on the blog, so why don't you send a mail to manematters@africanaturalistas.com.I would be glad.
So here are three ways one can retain length:
1. You must have a easy hair care routine: Your regimen should not be complicated. Don't get carried away by buying so many products just because someone used them and saw results. Keep your regimen simple and don't get your hair confused. Lol
2. Do protective styles : This is just the perfect way to keep your hair hidden especially your ends which is more fragile. It is the most important when it comes to retaining length and getting healthy hair altogether but it takes practice. Find ways to leave ur hair alone. You can make braids, weaves, wear wigs or just tuck your ends in. Most of all it should be a low maintenance style
3. Moisturise: You should moisturise often if not daily with a water based product or just water and you seal with oil or shea butter. If your hair is dry, it would break. At the end, you don't retain length. So try as much as possible to keep your hair moisturised at all time.
Enjoy the rest of the week

ReplyDeleteWigs have also helped me from time to time as a form of protective styling. Give me an opportunity to take proper care of my hair underneath.
Deleteyeah true.. but i like to touch my hair thats just my issue. i can just yank it out and forget myself. hand in hair syndrome wahala

DeleteOne should be careful not to let comb attachments in wigs pull the hair.
DeleteOther tips are Keep your hands off your hair, and avoid styles that require too much daily manipulation.
ReplyDeleteThere goes the real truth. Hand in Hair Syndrome. It's a major culprit for hair breakage. I am a witness.
