Here are some tips to help you in your journey.
1. Do daily
scalp massages:
This is very essential for hair growth. Using natural and Essential oils to
massage one's scalp helps in encouraging hair growth and improve blood flow in
the hair follicles.
2. Deep
condition hair weekly
This is
very important as it helps to better manage your hair and keep it soft. Just
incase you feel your hair is stubborn/dry, why not try a deep conditioning
treatment weekly. You would see changes in no time.
3. Moisturise
and seal ends daily
As a
natural, moisture is your best friend. The big challenge for some of us is how
to moisturize and keep our hair moisturized especially if you have really thick
hair. Try the LOC method (liquid, oil, cream) or LCO (liquid, cream, oil). Just
find what your hair loves as our hair types differ.
You can also
seal with shea butter.
4. Always
dry your hair with an old T-shirt.
Towel-drying
your hair can break your hair strands and can cause frizz. Every natural should
have that one COTTON t-shirt.Towels are too rough and tend to tangle/break your
hair.
Even with a
t-shirt,try not to rub too vigorously, place the shirt on your hair and scrunch
your fingers to absorb excess moisture.
Simple
practices like these are very important especially when it comes to maintaining hair length.
Till then
Excellent tips the importance of scalp massages cannot be overemphasized.
