Hello Naturalistas?
How are you and how is the weather treating your natural hair? Moisturising my hair has been a challenge as it dries out too QUICKLY!! Sigh!!
*rings alarm*
I kept wondering if I heard correctly but I didn't even bother to ask further. I went to Google to try to check what the world is saying about it and from what I found there are a few things about baby lotion that make people use it.
- Baby lotion is water-based and light weight.
- It makes their hair softer.
- Maintains Curls
- Helps control frizzy hair.
I think I will try it if it is safe - I am desperate for some moisture now. I want to know if there are people out there that use baby lotion for their hair! What is your experience? Or is it something you are willing to try if it is safe?
My sister normally uses her jergens or aveeno lotion on her hair during periods like this
ReplyDeleteOh! Please what are her results? Let us know. Thanks!
DeleteIt works well with her hair, just like a leave in
DeleteErm... body lotion for hair? I dunno about that o.
ReplyDeleteBerry Dakara Blog
Asin ehn!
DeleteCheck the ingredients first though.
Hmm.. It might just work. I'm not about to try it tho
ReplyDeleteI once used palmer's shea butter body lotion on my hair. It was relaxed then and felt desert dry during the harmattan. It actually helped. *shrugs* All those emulsifiers and co are in conditioners anyway. You'll see similarities reading the ingredient lists.
ReplyDeleteMy sister used to apply body lotion when she was out of leave-in and she said her hair felt great. But you you when you look at the ingredients, they share a lot of similarities- water based, fatty alcohols, glygerine- and if you get a posh lotion it will even have natural extracts. Lol. Anyways I can understand using baby lotion just not sure if i would do it..time will tell lol.
ReplyDeleteWell, my aunt uses baby lotion on her relaxed hair and it works for her. I'll try my son's lotion to know if it'll work for me too. Lol.
ReplyDeleteDepends on the ingredients sha. Most of these lotions are similar.
ReplyDeleteBeen hearing this lately, was even asked, I didnt know what to say though. Its nice to see that it isnt hair sacrilage.
