I got a new spray bottle the day before and as I sat to start my mix, I realised the spray bottle is one of the important ( if not the most important) equipment in a Naturalista's hair journey. I know most of us do not place much importance but I believe it's a natural hair necessity, we all can't do without owning one.
I love my spray bottle cos it's the only natural hair bottle or jar that I own that I get to decide what goes in and what doesn't! Am ever so excited and contented with my mixture( most times) and would love to share WHAT'S IN MY SPRAY BOTTLE with you and how I prep and mix!
THINGS I NEED
⁃ spray bottle ( obviously)
⁃ Water : because I learnt on African NAturalistas that the first ingredient of any good Product should be water ( lol)
⁃ Coconut oil : for glow,to retain moisture and penetrate my scalp.
⁃ Almond oil : for my dry and itching scalp and also to prevent hair loss.
⁃ Olive oil : for healthier, stronger, shiner hair and to moisturise and nourish my hair strands..
⁃ Jojoba oil : to soothe my scalp, for scalp problems, elasticity and to stimulate growth.
⁃ leave in conditioner : just cause I love how it makes my hair feel.
DIRECTIONS:::
STEP 1
I start by sterilising my spray bottle.. I usually just pour some hot water, leave in for few minutes and
rinse..
STEP 2
Once my bottle is clean I add my oils, am really generous with my oils except castor oil ( it's really thick and a few drops would go a long way)
I add my AFRICAN NATURALISTA leave in conditioner
Then i fill my spray bottle, half way with water and then I SHAKE,SHAKE,SHAKE and my spray bottle is ready for use..
Have shared mine! WHAT'S IN YOURS??

ReplyDeleteLeave-in, water and castor oil/olive oil.
ReplyDeleteI still have yet to get the science behind using water and oil especially non-penetrating oils in a mix,as water and oil basically repel each other. How does it feel on the hair?
ReplyDeleteIt feels nice :D
DeletePlus you shake the bottle before spritzing. So its like doing the l-o part of LOC just once Lol cheat code and all that, the oil will seal in the moisture.
DeleteOnly water for me. Then occasionally I add leave in.condish.
