Happy Tuesday ladies! As long as you are a natural, I am more than certain you have come to be familiar with the various hair growth fads that have swept through our Natural Hair Community.
One such fad that has caught my attention is 'The Inversion Method.' Not familiar with it? Watch on! Or even if you are familiar with it, here is a food for thought concerning this trend!
I guess when it comes to natural hair lots of people do things that they assume would help keep the hair healthy and long. I haven't heard of any known results yet.
ReplyDeleteAm still keeping my ears down.

Thank you for commenting Sis!I am yet to see any concrete evidence of it working. There are plenty of videos on YouTube claiming that it works but my thing is,we would definately have more people with near waist length hair because if you gain an inch a week for the month, that calculates to 12 inches at the end of the year.Thats alot of growth!Am not completely knocking it all the way though but just would like to be more convinced.
DeleteI just came across this. Yes I agree with u but the problem most of us have isn't growing the hair but length retention. If we retain as much as we grow, then you'll see a lot of waist length ladies around.
DeleteI have not tried this method but I believe it works. If I want increased growth I cover my hair with a shower cap and tie it up with a scarf overnight. The heat generated and increased blood flow to the hair almost doubles my hair growth.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sis!That sounds like your doing the Green House Effect. That has definately been proven to work and there is quite solid evidence to back it up too.Thank you for the comment.
Deletewell last time i did it,i ddnt evn know it was a method,i just liked being upside down for some seconds and i kinda realized that my hair grew longer than before. it all depends on individual tho.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comment Sis!Thats great to hear that it actually worked for you!Am sure it may have proven successful for some people and thats wonderful but i have really struggled to find concrete evidence that it works so thats whi am struggling to accept that it does I guess.Still am not knocking it all the way completely down especially now that you have told me it worked for you!
DeletePeople that have tried the inversion method said it works. Even Dabs has tried it, and said it works. I guess its just too stressful
ReplyDeleteSis to be honest,I find myself sitting on the fence more with this one.Unlike the Green House Effect which has long been proven to work, the Inversion method still lacks to some extent in terms of backup to prove it works.Am not knocking it,it just seems a little off to me.But if I can actually see some credible results on someone,I will not be a stranger to hanging this head upside down lol!Thank you for the comment Sis!
DeleteI'm not sure if I believe in the inversion method or not, but the reasons the chick in the video gave for discounting the method were quite illogical. The premise behind the method is that you are shocking your head with unexpected (I'm going to repeat that again - unexpected) blood flow to it. The reason why your leg hairs do not grow very long is because the hair follicles on your leg are engineered to grow hair only to a certain length, given the fact that there is a steady blood flow towards that part of your body. And no, sleeping on one side of your head is absolutely nothing like flipping yourself upside down. And by the way, there are quite a number of youtubers who have recorded one inch of growth in one week from the method - all you have to d is use the search bar on youtube.
ReplyDeleteThank you for watching and commenting.Am not convinced that the method works but I would be curious to know if it really does.I have searched on YouTube and the few videos i came across did not really convince me so like you suggested,am still on the lookout for a video to convince me.I have not closed off completely to the idea that it might work,am open to believing it does but only when i find concrete evidence to support it.Am aware that the hair on your legs are meant to grow only to a certain length,i just thought that they would be extra bushy and volumous as a result of being on your feet all day.Sleeping on one side does encourage the blood flow in your head to go in one direction for the duration of the night.Like I said, its a matter of opinion,I have mine-which i choose to exaggerate sometimes,intentionally- and you have yours. Its not the basis of a fight at all,am open to this not closed off.Am not fighting anyone, its my opinion which i am entitled to.With all due respect,I would like to thank you for your comment but I really dont feel there is any need for all of this.
DeleteI TRIED IT. HAVE BEEN TRYING IT FOR 3 MONTHS NOW. ONE WEEK AT A TIME. MY HAIR IS GROWING FASTER THAN BEFORE
ReplyDeleteWow thats really good to know!Heard a few people saying it has worked for them so thats awesome but am still not sold.Maybe I will try it myself and see what happens,no harm in that.Bless up!
DeleteIt definitely works. I grew half an inch in one week doing the greenhouse and inversion every other day. I have 4c hair. Plus my hair feels so soft, hydrated and healthy now too.
