Introducing Mane Matters On the Street

Hello Naturalistas,

I have moved to the streets - Well not really - I go out and I see people rocking their natural hair and I am always too shy to walk up to them to ask for a picture. But I went for an event last week and  I didn't let the opportunity pass me by.

Meet Temilola Ajayi; When I approached her she practically jumped on me when I mentioned "African Naturalistas" Apparently we've part of her Journey. Whoop! She's had her Natural hair all her life but didn't start taking proper care of it until recently after she experienced a massive dandruff breakout that accompanied hair loss. She gets alot of negative comment due to her working environment so she makes sure she styles ''Reasonably" with bantu knots, twists, up-do. She deals with the challenge of her hair drying out and being really hard.

We talked abit and I suggested for her to do a deep conditioning. See Pictures of her hair style for that day Below

Meet Eno, She decided to do dread locks but has just visited the salon once. Her hair seems to be growing out nicely without a 2nd loc. She recently saw a twist-out on someone and she loved it and is contemplating doing that instead of the permanent locs.

 Overtime we would be having them tell about their Natural hair Journey. So, You just might be the next naturalista I would meet on the street, Please but a smile on your face so I can approach you, I promise I am nice :)
