Recap: Naturals In The City 16

Hello everyone,

#NITC16 has come and gone and as usual, I had such an amazing time even from the entrance. This time, we managed to gather about a hundred people most of which were new attendees. (Side-eye to our regulars, y'all didn't show up!) But it's all good. It means that more people are hearing about it which is a good thing.

Although I couldn't attend the events in itself, the lovely Uzoma of Don't Touch The Hair, our in-house live-tweeter made sure I didn't miss a thing. Ekene of The Kink and I also made sure she covered everything before our official photographer arrived. Make sure you stay tuned to for the official photos.

In the meantime, here's how it all when down.

#NITC16 began with a free yoga class which was on a first come - first, serve basis. It was hosted by Nsa Ntuk, a certified yoga trainer. Most people came late but Nsa was gracious enough to host another class.

The second workshop was a Makeup Masterclass with the very lovely Whitney Madueke.

After the end of the two workshops, it was time for the talks. In between, we had a surprise guest from TVC News. It was totally unexpected as we didn't invite or expect them. They managed to interview a couple of us, myself included.

Yay Me!

Altogether, there were four enlightening talks. Even I was jealous of those that waited all through until the end to soak in all of the information. Anyway, Uzoma has storified her tweets so it's easier to follow and understand.

Regulars, y'all can see what you missed yeah?

You'll agree with me that this quarter was packed.

You can check The Kink and I  and Don't Touch The Hair for photos and their individual recap.

  1. It seems like it was really fun, too bad I wasn't there.

  2. I always enjoy Uzoma's live tweet. It give so much info. Too bad I couldn't stay for very long.
