I was at the store to get a satin cap some days back and I met a girl that had just had her big chop. She was holding a satin cap,was staring at it like it was poison and it looked like she was about to cry, I moved closer to her and asked what was wrong.
She told me how she had searched all the stores around for a silk bonnet and she hasn't been able to find any but satin bonnets, I told her satin bonnets are just as good and have been using it since i went natural and so far I do not have any regrets..I tried talking her into getting the satin bonnet but she wasn't having it, so I left and made a mental note to research on both satin and silk..
SATIN AND SILK FABRIC ::::
Silk is a natural protein fibre produced by a certain type of insect ( generally the moth caterpillar) for building webs and cocoons.silk is one of the softest fabric one can find.
Satin is a weave that typically has a glossy surface and dull back.satins are formed by using filaments fibres such as silk, polyester or nylon..

They both reduce frizz and split ends
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SILK AND SATIN

I have always wondered what the difference was.I go with satin!
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to try a silk scarf or bonnet, just to see if it makes a bit of a difference in my hair. But since I've only used satin scarves, guess I prefer those.
ReplyDeleteI like satin too, way easier to find.
ReplyDeleteI would use anything that works well for me, lol.
ReplyDeleteI feel like a silk scarf would be better worn across my shoulders or around my neck - since it's more expensive.
