Well I don't know about not retaining length with using combs,a lot of ladies do and have waist length hair to prove it,but I don't know,I just personally distrust combs,I see that comb and im like *im gonna finger it with this mane, even if my arm falls off im not touching you*.But there are times finger detangling doesn't just cut it and I have to use a comb id say once a month on average.I guess its all about application, combs or fingers they are tools and have to be used right.
That's because those ladies are extremely careful. If you check it, they don't use it like all the timeee. Comb is not bad if used well, but finger detangling helps retain length better.
Not even going to lie, finger combing can be so long. I'll say I do it maybe 80percent of the time im detangling my hair then use a wide tooth comb the rest of the time.
African naturalista - yup, I'm careful with it Ashake - I know it gets better over time lol I just don't have the luxury of patience and even time sef. So I make do with what little time I have
Honestly doesn't take so much of my time,I find that when I use a comb and then go wash,I still need to detangle, obviously I might be doing something wrong.Amen, you'll get there.
Finger detangling can reduce my life span due to the frustration and time lost. I deal with it by soaking my hair with conditioner and combing. 30mins and I'm out.
