Hair Profiles: Type 2 & 3

Hello Naturalistas,
How are you? Kinks and life?

We'd continue from where we left off last week and since majority of us don't fall into these types we would keep it simple.

2 = Wavy Hair
3 = Curly Hair
A = Curl diameter of sidewalk chalk
B = Curl diameter of a sharpie (marker, highlighter)
C = Curl diameter of a pencil

3C
Type 3C; The curls can be either kinky, or very tightly curled, with lots and lots of strands densely packed together. Getting this type of hair to blow dry straight is more challenging than for 3a or 3b, but it usually can be done.
3B

Type 3B hair is well-defined, springy, copious curls that range from bouncy ringlets to tight corkscrews. It has a definite loopy 'S' pattern. Combinations of Type 3a and 3b curls are common.

3C
Type 3A; Curls are naturally big, loose and usually very shiny. Type 3 curlies can use a variety of styling products to achieve curl formation and definition

Tips for Type 3 haircare
- Use stylers like gels and creams to help with curl definition and frizz control.
Hydrate and moisturize your curls with a leave-in conditioner
- Don't use combs/brush on your dry curls
Revitalize parched curls with a hydrating leave-in conditioner.

Type 2:
The wave or curl forms throughout the hair in the shape of the letter “S”,  hair sticks close to the head; it won’t bounce up, even when layered
There are three Type 2 subtypes:
2c: Thick and coarse and more resistant to styling and will frizz easily
2b: Medium-textured and a little resistant to styling; has a tendency to frizz
2a: Fine, thin and very easy to handle; easily straightened or curled
Tips for Type 2 haircare
use lighter products such as mousses, lotions or gels that enhance the curls, but don't weigh them down.
Finish your style with a volumizer that will keep your hair full while reducing frizz.
Use a lot of curl enhancing gel.
So, Ladies and gentlemen if there are What is your hair type?
