You know as a transitioner, there are certain hairstyles you can't rock effortlessly anymore. You can't install braids without you hair popping out after 2 weeks. You can't fix a half sew-in weave. Cornrows with extensions doesn't even last up to a week especially when you're 6months post relaxer. You realize there's no point wasting the little money set aside for hair on synthetic extensions i.e. Expressions et al.
I know a lot of ladies [myself inclusive] have issues with styling transitioned hair, it could be tad frustrating. Then again, we don't need to deal with these dual textures on a daily basis. We need to be able to take our minds off it at least for a month.
There are a couple of kinky synthetic extensions we can try out. They are light, washable and durable. If properly maintained can last up to 2 months or more.If everything else fails, a wig will always come in handy.

ReplyDeletestyle 6-10 are great because you get to experiment with your hair and style your own hair by yourself. flexirods or rod sets are great because you almost can't tell the difference between both hair textures.
ReplyDeleteWhat type of weaves was used to make that first twist.
