What are your thoughts about natural hair?
Natural hair : a beautiful  journey of self discovery, confidence, embracing my true african/nigerian roots and doing away with harmful chemicals

When/why did you decide to go natural?
Ermmm...when?January 2014...why?..lol..when all my hairline disappeared like mama iyabo (a term we use for bad edges/hairline)
Did you do a BC or you transitioned?
I transitioned for 4 months and then BC!

What was the experience like?
Well at first I was doing trials and error..experimenting with products which I had no idea of..but then I started going online checking sites on natural hair... i learnt alot from the  sites I visited

What was/is your biggest fear about going Natural?
I thought about going to normal salons and hairstylists ruining my hair, not understanding how to care for it!but I learnt to do some hair care by myself until I discovered a Natural hair salon..

Do you have a regimen you stick to? What is it like?
Yes..I do have a regimen...Deep conditioning monthly. Protein treatments when my hair feels and looks dull. Massage my scalp 3-4 times a week regardless of what I have on(especially  my hairline)
Then daily spritz of coconut oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil, castor oil..I interchange the oils some times adding avocado oil. I wear satin bonnet/cap to sleep. I also use Henna to strengthen my hair.

What emotional struggles, if any, have you faced since going natural?
Emotional struggles???none whatsoever!..I love  my looks, love the attention i get when i have a new hairstyle on!and no more painful relaxers

Do you think you are in it for the long haul or is it just a phase?
For the long haul oh...lol waiting patiently to see how long it would be in 3 years by God's grace!

There are people that definitely have negative comments about you hair, how do you deal with that?
yeah...some tell me I will get tired,it's expensive to maintain natural hair..I tell them..I don't worry about water touching my hair like they would because my hair loooveess water..lol and also free from chemicals!

What's your must have product and accessory?
My spray bottle, coconut oil, castor oil and my satin bonnet!

What is your go-to style?
Twists and braids

What advice do you have for anyone just going natural?
Patience! patience!! patience!!! and TLC on your hair!
