'I have hand in hair syndrome' Mane Matters with Oge

Happy New Month Naturalistas

How is it going?
It's another episode of the Mane matters. Meet Oge

Can you tell us who you are and what you do?
Hi..Im Oge and I'm a corper currently serving in Delta state

What are your thoughts about natural hair?
It's beautiful and very magnificent. A true sight to behold. You always look twice when you see a lady on natural hair...Always

What are your reasons for going natural?
I don't really like relaxers and my hair is really stubborn. I never found a relaxer that worked for me...the end results were always scalp burns

When/why did you decide to go natural?
May 2014...I love curls...I always unconsciously play with my hair...I have a serious hand-in-hair syndrome. I can play with my curls all day, everyday

Did you do a BC or you transitioned?
I transitioned
What was the experience like?
Testing and trying times... But thank God I've made it this far...

What was/is your biggest fear about going Natural?
I fear I'll get bored of my hair and wanna try relaxers again

Do you have a regimen you stick to? What is it like?
I moisturize daily using LOC and I DC like once a month

What emotional struggles, if any, have you faced since going natural?
My friends know I get bored easily and they are patiently waiting for that day. Lol. I'd like to surprise them

Do you think you are in it for the long haul or is it just a phase?
We( me and my hair) are in this for the long haul.

There are people that definitely have negative comments about your hair, how do you deal with that?
I dont pay attention to what they say. I just laugh and go about with my business

What's your must have product and accessory?
Leave in conditioner. God bless leave in conditioners. For accessory, it'll be scarfs.

What is your go-to style?
Bantu knots...all day, any day
What advice do you have for anyone just going natural?
Be very patient. The end justifies the means
