Diary of an Honest Naturalista: Week 91

I’m starting work today. I think 2015 is looking to be like a good year. Tonya engaged, sister pregnant, I finally getting a job. I just pray it keeps going on this way.

So I am really considering taking these things called hair supplements. There is so much information about them all over, how they work, how they don’t work, side effects, no side effect, etc. with everything going on about hair supplements, it is really hard to pick a side.

I know the reason why my hair is the length it is is because of the way I have pampered it and also the way I have mishandled it. Yes, I know I don’t need supplements to grow my hair, but I should just be more careful and love it more. But still… I want to try supplements.

I have written about my own struggles with acne and try my best possible to keep it to the barest minimum by being careful of the ingredients in products I use and what kind of oils touch my face. I have read in different places how biotin caused many ladies to break out, despite the fact that they drank a lot of water. This is my number 1 fear. I don’t want to spend months mopping up pimples that I brought upon myself. But then, there are other ladies who were not inflicted with this curse of biotin-induced acne. I might just be one of the lucky ones to get into that category.

Hmm, so what do I do, take hair supplements or not? Ini mini mani mo.

I think I will just ask someone travelling out of the country to get me the supplements first, and I will keep it. At least, it won’t hurt to have it on my table, staring at it while I make up my mind whether or not to use it.

Something in me tells me it will be a complete waste of my time and money, but still… I WANT TO TRY IT!

  3. Nah, I can't. I don't like taking pills. I forget to take my multivitamins half the time, then to add hair supplements?

    Nope.

    1. Depending on the brand of multivitamins you use, you may not need a hair supplement after all. Some multivitamins contain Biotin in the RDA.

I took Manetabolism for about 2 weeks but i stopped because it made me feel bloated. Despite drinking lots and lots of water, eating fruits and vegetables daily etc, my digestion was just our of sync. So I stopped and Voila! bloating disappears *shrugs*

    1. Lol at your reason. May we not see reasons why we must absolutely swallow pills all the time.
