Diary of an Honest Naturalista: Week 75

I have been crying my eyes out since morning. I don’t know what demon possessed me this morning to pick my phone up, and check for updates before starting my short work out. I had just concluded my morning prayers when I decided to scroll through my phone to do some amebo.

The first thing I saw was a broadcast from a contact. “Breaking news: Dr Myles Munroe and wife dead in plane crash.” The force of the shock that hit me was indescribable. I immediately started crying, and replied the guy’s message with “no, no, no. this can’t be true.” I scrolled to personal updates by contact, and seeing Dr Myles pictures on DPs, and different condolence messages. At this point, my tears couldn’t be stopped.

He had died in a plane crash on a private jet, on his was to his own leadership conference. Imagine that – his own conference, where different global leaders were waiting to hear him speak. I don’t even know what to think of this, honestly.

Although he had nothing to do with me and my natural hair, his messages have touched me greatly, especially the one on Kingdom, and bringing God’s kingdom to earth. Oh gosh, I still can’t believe it. Anytime his messages play in my head, or I remember his voice, the tears pour out once again. And this is me who doesn’t even know him personally. I can’t imagine what his family and close friends must be going through at this time, I can’t imagine.

I don’t even know what to think, honestly. Him, along with eight other people, on a mission to do God’s work – Just gone. I’m still weak
.
Rest In Peace – Dr Myles Munroe, family, and friends.

  5. Such a sad story. The daughter is alive though. The son has given a speech with his sister present at the conference. After listening to his recent message, I have a feeling he knew he was going to be away(bodily) but thank God he poured himself/vision into his family and ministry.
