Everyday Natural Hair Products and their uses

In this post, we are going to review easily accessible substances that you can use for your natural hair care without boring a hole through your pocket. The best thing is to find out what works for you and stick with it, being a product junkie will not do you any good.

Some beneficial resources for you are

Shea butter: Natural raw shea butter acts as a natural conditioner and sealant. It seals in the much needed moisture into our hair, strengthens it and imparts a natural shine. Shea Butter provides moisture to dry or damaged hair from the roots to the very tips, repairing and protecting against weather damage, dryness and brittles. It also absorbs quickly and completely into the scalp to rehydrate without clogging pores. It is particularly beneficial for processed and heat treated hair. It is an excellent treatment for dry scalp. It restores luster to damaged hair.

Tea bag Extract: Rinsing your hair with Tea water adds shine to your hair, decreases hair breakage , combats hair loss and can stimulate hair growth

Coconut oil: This is one of the best nutrition for natural hair. This helps with hair growth, rejuvenates and moisturizes the hair. Regular massage ensures that the head is fee of dandruff, lice and lice eggs

Tea tree oil: This is used for hair loss treatment. It helps unblock clogged follicle, prevents itching and disinfects the scalp

Olive oil: Good for conditioning the hair. It can be used as a pre-shampoo treatment. It seals in moisture, improves the strength and elasticity of your hair. It helps with dry, itchy scalp and kills head lice.

Peppermint oil: It gives a cooling effect to the scalp, it removes dandruff and lice. It can also be used to promote hair growth.

Jojoba oil: This is good for healing and moisturizing of the hair. It develops new hair cell growth and it is a soil dissolving agent, which can remove stick build-up on the hair from airborne particles

Hair mayonnaise: This is what I refer to as the magic hair softener. It is used as hair conditioning treatment to make the hair soft and shiny. Some people use regular mayonnaise (that will be covered in another post).

Water: Please, please and please, this is the most important ingredient for your natural hair. It is known as the best moisturizer for natural hair. What else can moisturize your hair if not moisture? The best part is that you don’t have to spend on it.

There other good products that I have not tried, such as rose oil, castor oil, spearmint oil, etc. The best thing is to find out what works for you and stick with it.

Whenever you buy any product, always check the ingredient to be sure that it does not contain sulphate or other chemicals harmful to the natural hair. I hope you found this very helpful

  9. Castor oil is very good for promoting hair growth. It's very advisable esp at the beginning stage when you are most likely to get frustrated if you can't see your hair growing, it goes a long way

  11. Always be careful when purchasing organic care products, though. Unless the product has a government seal for being certified organic, or has a stamp that says it's 100 percent organic, it probably contains chemicals. Many natural and organic products have a majority of healthy ingredients, with some very nasty chemical ingredients mixed in.
